Did the two days one night Pouakai circuit at taranaki but was so disappointed with the weather. It was raining and cloudy all day, we had a hard time hiking the track with our bloody wet cloth. The sky finally cleared up for a little bit in the late evening that we rushed like crazy to the tarn (“the sacred lake”, they said) expecting a better view of the reflection of the mount taranaki. All we get to see was the tip of the mountain with the clouds filled the sky. It was fun having a different kind of taranaki experience, to say the least. I didn’t get the chance to shoot the reflection like everybody does so I looked up on the internet trying to find a different idea to capture the view of taranaki. Phoof, this is it. The “Pembroke Road”, one of the roads in New Zealand that fascinates me. There’s this one point where we are driving uphill, the mountain was so close to us as if we are going into a wonderland. Will be back for you, Taranaki!
